1. Information We Do Not Collect
When utilizing any calculator on Calculas (including mortgages, loan schedules, tax calculations, body composition, caloric requirements, or conversions), the numeric parameters you provide are evaluated client-side via JavaScript. We do not log, retain, monetize, or transmit your calculation inputs or outputs.
2. Browser Local Storage & Cookies
We respect your privacy by eliminating invasive advertising trackers. The web application utilizes standard browser technologies exclusively for user experience:
- Preferences: Your selected currency (USD, EUR, TRY, GBP) and interface language (en, es, tr) are preserved in `localStorage` so you don't have to reselect them on every page visit.
- Saved Scenarios: When you click “Save Scenario” to compare financial options, the scenario payload is saved strictly to your browser's `localStorage`. Clearing your browser history or clicking “Delete scenario” completely wipes this data.
3. URL Sharing & Export Features
When you use the “Share Calculation” feature, parameters are encoded directly into the URL query string (e.g., ?loanAmount=300000). Anyone with the link can view the pre-filled numbers. You have full discretion over which URLs you generate and distribute.
Generated PDF and Excel (.xlsx) files are compiled directly within your browser runtime using client-side libraries. No documents are uploaded or stored on any server.
4. Embedded Calculator Widgets
Calculas provides clean embed routes (/embed/[category]/[slug]) for third-party websites. Embedded widgets run in sandboxed iframes, set no advertising cookies, and transmit no telemetry to external ad brokers.
5. GDPR and CCPA Compliance
Under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), users maintain rights regarding access, deletion, and portability of their personal data. Because Calculas does not collect or associate personal identity with calculation data, there is no personal data record retained on our servers to modify or delete. Users hold 100% control over their local data through their browser settings.
